A lovely 60th Birthday party for Natalie Yount at the Palace Ballroom. Produced by Martha Enson & EnJoy Productions. I MCed the event as the Maitre De, Monsieur Ettienne Beauregard, who bossed around the Bell Hops, FiFi (Below, Leah) and BonBon (Alexander), as well as the narcoleptic janitor, Azzizello. Martha played the cocktail waitress LuLu, who was always trying to get me to notice her (to no avail) as she did her hoop act. We had a hand balancing act by Cory Tabino, Incredible tango dancing by Argentinians Maite Valdez and Carlos Barrionuevo. I read the Birthday girl a lovely autobiographical poem and live music was by performed by the gypsy jazz band Pearl Django.
